Teeth Whitening

This is the most commonly recommended and practiced cosmetic dental procedure available in dentistry. Whitening teeth with various peroxide bleaching compounds help you attain that brighter, whiter smile. The cosmetic procedure can be performed at home or in your cosmetic dentist’s office. Most patients experience a 6-8 shade whitening improvement. We will assist you in determining which procedure would benefit you the most. Whitening kits purchased over-the-counter have different types and strengths of products and applicator strips that may not provide the same results as that with custom “welled” trays or in-office FDA approved high strength bleach with barrier products and light activation.

We have carefully researched available products in our market and determined the products with the least amount of post treatment sensitivity. Pretreatment desensitization of tooth desensitizer in trays for 2 weeks prior to bleaching has proven greatly beneficial. Discoloration tends to recur more rapidly if ingestion of coffee, tea, grape or cranberry juices, red wine, colored sodas, beets, colored gelatins, cigarettes or smokeless tobacco is consumed. The natural consumption of foods and products in our saliva will gradually re-stain the enamel and periodic re-whitening may be used at home to quickly regain the bright white smile you’ve enjoyed.
